Ever since Sunday (12/15/19), there’s been this bizarre — no other word for it — story out of Bethel Church in Redding, Calif., about the followers of this immense church trying to raise a 2-year-old from the dead.
Bethel has been an anomaly in the charismatic/pentecostal world but at the same time a place I’ve been telling reporters they need to get to know. As the days have progressed, I’ve been amazed to see all sorts of media, from the New York Post, USA Today and the Sacramento Bee to Slate and then the Associated Press jumping on this story.Read entire article here.
No where will you find this outlined in the Bible except for clear pagan condemned practices. Read the prophets of Baal, ( 1 Kings 18) and this is exactly what this is – it’s Baal worship. I should also add- I believe the little girl is still at the coroner’s office remains unburied after 5 plus days because everyone is “waiting for God to move.” And why are they asking for $100,000 for ‘medical expenses’ … the girl is dead and if they are trusting God to raise her from the dead, why can’t they trust Him for their need for money?
Many news sources have already reported on this story. But I want to point out what has been missed. In their coverage of the fiasco, reporters have noted that the parents’ church, Bethel Church, has rallied around the parents’ prayers for a resurrection — calling for people across the globe to join them in those prayers. But what Bethel Church has been engaged in, since Olive Heiligenthal died on Saturday, is not prayer. They’ve actually been making “declarations.” There’s a big difference.Read entire article here
You will NEVER hear about Jesus Christ in this movement – you will never hear the Gospel—you will never hear the word repentance —you will never hear about how our sin separates us from GOD, people cannot be saved unless they hear the Gospel. It’s self centered humanistic all about me and what I can get. This is not biblical Christianity the NAR (New Apostolic Reformation) is a cult.
“But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name.”
