In Deuteronomy 18:10-11 we read: There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. We can read similar warnings and commands in these passages as well, and others such as 2 Kings 17:17, 2 Kings 21:6, 2 Chronicles 33:6.
Suffice it to say the Lord clearly condemns witchcraft, and any form of occultism. So, why would professing Christians practice such things? At the top of the NAR we have major leaders:
- Bill Johnson
- Kris Vallotton
- C. Peter Wagner
- Hillsong Church
- Jesus Culture
- YWAM
- Todd White
- Todd Bentley
- Lou Engle
- Che Ahn
- Rick Joyner
- Heidi Baker – a very idolized woman within Bethel and apparently she nor her supporters (Bethel) have no issue with polytheism NOR does she have an issue imparting the kundalini demonic spirit to your children.
- Bethel Church singer Amanda Lindsey Cook sings: JESUS AS “ENLIGHTENED MASTER”? ………. New Age, occultism, mysticism, gnosticism.
Bethel Church (s) unbiblical practices include but are not limited too:
- ‘Real presence’ in the Lords Supper perpetuated in Bill Johnsons book
- Prophetic uno (clairvoyance)
- Destiny pants (and astral projection)
- Grave soaking (necromancy)
- Christalignment cards (tarot cards)
- The continued teaching that you are little gods heresy
- Holy Spirit Worshiping (idolatry) (pneumo centric)
- Their unbiblical teaching of kenosis vs proper teaching of kenosis
- Prophetic art /jewelry with “power and destiny prayed” into it (witchcraft)
- Innumerable false prophecies
- The Sin of Simony (selling the Holy Spirit to “activate” gifts) Acts 8:9-24 by promoting their ability to “impart” (for a fee / tuition) spiritual gifts to you via their “school of supernatural ministry” even though the Bible declares it is The Holy Spirit NOT man who gives gifts
- THE ABOVE are just a few issues of many within this movement. This blog is intended to get people to think biblically and search the Scriptures themselves against the heretical teachings of the NAR.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. (2 Tim:4:3).
Approximately sixty thousand people attended The Send stadium event February 23, 2019. According to the organization’s website, it is “A NEW ERA.” We may indeed be entering a new era, but not necessarily one of increased evangelism or missions, which is the purported goal of The Send.
The Send (formerly called “The Call”) features many if not all of the people (and more) above.

Stop here and please just think about what you’ve read and what the Word of God says.
This blog isn’t just impersonal and something I haven’t been through and experienced. I understand the seduction of it all. It’s quite captivating that is for sure, and no wonder, because “Satan disguises himself as an angel of light, his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.” 2 Corinthians 11:14. I post this with love as heartbreaking as it is, I have family deeply involved in this … well.. it’s a cult … as Dr. Walter Martin said “cultism is any major deviation from orthodox Christianity relative to the cardinal doctrines of the Christian faith.” And Bethel Church is a major deviation, not just some “minor peripheral issues” to be winked at and overlooked.
The only thing being “sent at The Send” is a delusion: And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 2 Thessalonians 2:10 -12

This blog isn’t even the tip of the iceberg on this subject. My hope is that first and foremost, if you are in this movement, repent and turn to Christ. And for those who have just breezed through this blog I hope this has given you enough information to measure against the Word of God and if you are truly born again the Holy Spirit would convict you of the Truth.
